The Information

The Information is one of two questlines that you can play after completing The Ride. In this questline, you will be introduced to Braindance, a technology that allows you to experience someone else’s memories. This guide will walk you through the steps of completing The Information.

Step 1: Start the quest at Lizzie’s Bar

• To begin The Information, visit Lizzie’s Bar between 6PM and 6AM. If you arrive before the designated time, you can skip time in the pause menu. Approach the bouncers outside the bar and accept their offer to experience a Braindance. This will grant you access to the bar.

Step 2: Meet Evelyn and follow her to the VIP room

• Once inside the bar, head to the bar counter and sit at the lone open seat. Chat with the bartender, and regardless of your approach, Evelyn will join you. Have a conversation with Evelyn and follow her to the VIP room to discuss the mission she has for you.

Step 3: Learn about the mission from Evelyn and Judy

• In the VIP room, Evelyn will question your skills and relationship with Dex. However, she will eventually explain her mission to you: stealing a chip called the Relic from Yorinobu Arasaka. Evelyn has obtained Braindance footage of Yorinobu’s suite in Konpeki Plaza, and she needs your help to extract valuable information from it. Listen to Evelyn’s instructions and get to know Judy, her Mox pal.

Step 4: Undergo a Braindance calibration test

• Talk to Judy and continue the conversation until she prompts you to sit down. Judy will provide you with a tutorial on using the Braindance Editor. Pay attention and follow her directions to:

  – Move around
  – Rewind to the beginning
  – Fast forward
  – Reset the recording
  – Play the recording until you spot the gun (00:22)
  – Scan and inspect the gun
  – Switch to the audio layer, scan the audio source, and listen
  – Switch to the visual layer
  – Fast forward to where the customer is hit
  – Scan and inspect the hurt woman
  – Fast forward to where the robber is shot (00:51)
  – Rewind until the CCTV screen appears (00:48) and scan the TV

Step 5: Exit the Braindance and regroup with Evelyn and Judy

After completing the calibration test, exit the Braindance. Evelyn will insist that there is no time for a break, but you can request to have T-Bug on the call. Judy initially hesitates but eventually agrees. Once T-Bug joins the call, you’re ready to proceed with the Braindance you came for.

Step 6: Examine the Braindance and complete optional objectives

• In Analysis Mode, examine the Braindance to accomplish the following tasks:

  – Find the Relic
  – Scan the apartment’s security systems (optional)
  – Watch the whole recording from Evelyn’s point of view (optional)

Step 7: Watch the Braindance and scan security systems

• Watch the Braindance from the beginning without skipping to complete the optional objective. T-Bug may prompt you to take certain actions, such as listening to Yorinobu’s phone conversation. If you wish to complete the optional objective, avoid switching layers during the Braindance.

Step 8: Scan the security systems

• Restart the Braindance and go to the Visual editor. Scan the following security systems:

  – Smasher (00:13)
  – Alarm and motion sensor camera (00:13)
  – Alarm system (00:16)
  – Motion sensor camera near the screen (00:16)
  – Automated turret and motion sensor camera (02:09)

Step 9: Listen to Yorinobu’s conversation and scan the datapad and gun

• Switch to the Audio Layer and scan the phone at 00:32 to listen to Yorinobu’s conversation. Then, switch back to the Visual Layer and scan Yorinobu’s datapad and the gun at 02:44.

Step 10: Find the hidden safe in the thermal layer

• Switch to the Thermal Layer and go to 00:47. Scan the hidden safe on the right, which appears as a blue smokey area.

Step 11: Exit the Braindance and regroup with Judy and Evelyn

• Exit the Braindance and conclude the conversation with T-Bug. Judy will give you a portable BD device but may not be entirely cooperative. Thank Judy if you wish, then talk to Evelyn and choose your response to her job offer.

Completing The Information questline in Cyberpunk 2077 involves meeting with Evelyn, undergoing a Braindance calibration test, and extracting information from a Braindance recording.
