Step 1: Navigate the Celebratory Opening

• After a brief cutscene, you will take control of Eivor in a jovial setting. Push forward and you’ll quickly be drawn into the narrative’s fold as events turn dire. A gift from your father and a subsequent meeting with your mother, Rosta, will unravel into a sequence that catapults Eivor into the dangers of a Viking saga.

Step 2: Choose Your Eivor

• Post-calamity, you are presented with a pivotal choice: Will you embark on your journey as the female Eivor, the male Eivor, or leave it to the Animus to decide? This decision shapes the perspective of your adventure moving forward. Once made, another cutscene fast-forwards into Eivor’s future.

Step 3: Heal and Gather Rations

• Upon regaining control, prioritize your survival by finding food to heal wounds and stockpile rations for future battles. These essential items are key for maintaining your health, accessible through a quick button press on your controller’s d-pad.

Step 4: Synchronize at the High Point

• Your path leads to a vantage point requiring a climb. Once at the apex, synchronize with the environment to reveal regional information and interest points, which include wealth, artifacts, and mysteries, though the main objective beckons.

Step 5: Find and Rescue Your Crew

• Upon descending, a chance encounter with an ally escalates to the unveiling of your crew’s location. Stealthily navigate through enemy-infested lands to a longhouse where your crew is held captive, evading combat when necessary.

Step 6: Confront Rikiwulf

• Inside the longhouse, a confrontation with the antagonist Rikiwulf will serve as your combat tutorial. Learn to lock-on, dodge, and parry as you fight for your crew’s freedom and your own survival.

Step 7: Free Your Crew and Fight Outside

• Post-battle, unbind your crewmembers and ready yourself for another wave of enemies outside. This encounter will test your newly acquired battle skills as you fight to reach your longship.

Step 8: Sail Home to Fornburg

• With your crew by your side, commandeer the longship and navigate the waters towards your home settlement of Fornburg, located 2500 meters away. This journey allows for exploration, should you choose to engage with points of interest en route.

Step 9: Complete the Quest

• Upon docking at Fornburg, a dialogue with Randvi awaits, signifying the end of the Honor Bound quest. With this chapter closed, you’re set to continue your saga on the next page of the guide, Family Matters.
